From fark to fork : why agriculture needs innovation in finance

Providing quality food to 7 billion people in a resource constrained planet will not only require new agricultural technologies : it will also need innovative financial models, instruments and approaches that can mobilize capital at scale and fuel the transformation of the entire food value chain, from farm to fork.
Invited by the City of Geneva on the occasion of Milan World’s Fair 2015, Sustainable Finance Geneva unites experts from Geneva’s unique ecosystem, featuring complementary sectors, such as finance, international organisations, non-governmental organisations and the private sector.
A guided tour of the Swiss pavilion and two roundtables to discuss the role finance can play in the complex issues of agriculture and present concrete examples of innovative financing solutions.
