The forum builds on last year's agenda, where participants had the opportunity to debate the dynamic growth of Islamic finance and trends in GCC money management. This year we will explore the latest trends shaping financial services in the Gulf—which plans to be the world's leading financial services centre—and the international arena.
The gala dinner will open with a keynote conversation with Dr Fan Gang, one of China’s most influential economists, based in Beijing. Trained at the Chinese Academy of Social Science (CASS) and Harvard University, he is currently a Director at NERI-China, a Professor of Economics at Peking University and the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and an advisor to the Chinese government.
Key topics for discussion include:
Senior executives from the financial services sector—all renowned for their expertise in the industry—including the General Manager of the Kuwait Financial Centre; Chief Executive Officer, Kuwaiti Jordanian Holding Company; Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, Bank of New York Mellon; Lead Economist of the World Bank and the Chief Executive Officer of Tamweel— will join the Forum for an interactive and thought-provoking debate.
