Searching for unclaimed accounts or assets

Following the death of a family member, I am searching for an account previously opened by the deceased in a Swiss bank. Where can I obtain information ?

Persons who have reason to believe they may be entitled to assets deposited in an unknown Swiss bank may request for a search to be made by the Research Office of the Swiss Banking Ombudsman.

Inheritors of deceased clients may have a search conducted when they are unaware of which bank the presumed assets were deposited in.

In order to preserve confidentiality, the Ombudsman does not provide an email contact address. You must address it by postal mail.
